It's a headache not to have charts that don't create a group , even when there is no data, does this improved engine allow that? |

"It depends..."
If the data on the group axis has an widely known format (like "days of the week", "months", etc), then we have a macro @X_AXIS_MODE that can figure out where the missing data is and show all the groups. For example, you might have 5 records representing dates your company sold something buy you want the x-axis to show all 30 or 31 days in the current month. This is something @X_AXIS_MODE might help with.
On the other hand, if the complete set of possible group labels is known only to you (ex: Names of your salespeople), then there is no way for the chart library to know who is present and who is missing and CRChart can't solve the issue. There may, however, be a way to force CR itself to generate all the missing values with some clever combining/munging/filtering (I don't know how myself, but you can post a question on Experts-Exchange or Tek-Tips and see what the CR guru's say). |
